Success Is A Habit - Greg Luchak, Entrepreneur

“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.”

- Jim Rohn

If you were to take the time to research any number of successful people the one dominant trait you would find is they are creatures of pre-determined habits. Often those habits are formed by doing things repeatedly. Especially activities that are uncomfortable at first that make you stretch emotionally, physically and psychologically as a person.

True leaders recognize that you must develop habits, creating a winning attitude and be an example to others. Develop habits that force you to be active. You must make a commitment to consistent action. You have to act with definitive of purpose, persistence and a burning desire to reach your goal. To change your life you have to change.

Earl Nightingale, world renowned motivational speaker, states: “Success is the progressive realization of a worthwhile endeavor.” In other words “Success” is a pursuit based on persistent consistent effort. This effort is established by creating habits that move you forward towards your goals.

Based on my own personal experience, there are 5 basic habits that you must establish in your life to become successful.

  1. You must have a dream, a goal, a desire, and a reason why, how ever you label it you must have one. If you don’t know what you’re reaching for you will never reach for anything or accomplish anything.
  2. Read! Find inspiration and knowledge from experts in all aspects of your life.
  3. Find a mentor who is active and successful in the pursuit of a common goal. Study what he or she does. If at all possible get to know them personally.
  4. Take massive action. Nothing in life is obtainable with out action. Your actions must be consistent and persistent.
  5. Never quit! You may take years to accomplish something that you’d hope would only take days or even weeks. But in the end you will realize that the journey was just as important if not more so than the realization of your goal. Great things never come easily and the reward will always be awesome, inspiring and invigorating.

You will want to repeat the process over and over again because success will become a habit!

Soar Like An Eagle by Greg Luchak - Home Based Business Mentor

Soar Like An Eagle – Don’t Cluck Like A Chicken

By Greg Luchak

So why Soar Like An Eagle…You Ask? Well, better to act like an eagle than cluck like a chicken! I don’t always say it but I have often thought about it. One of my favorite speakers (Ron Ball) that I have seen live and listened to over the years often has related stories of personal development to that of the eagle. So I’m basically re-iterating or re-enforcing if you will, what I have learned from his teaching. In my opinion the correlation between successful people and the actions of an eagle are tremendously similar.

The Eagle is the most majestic bird in the world. They have the keenest eyesight. They can spot their prey from thousands of feet in the air. They can soar at tremendous speeds with there magnificent wings. They can dive downward, snapping up, clutching there prey with there talons and able to carry more than twice there weight. They are exceedingly independent and extremely protective of their young.

My wife and I, on our honeymoon, decided to take an Alaskan cruise. In one of the ports we set ashore and took a wildlife tour. Our guide drove us around the shoreline explaining the different wildlife, etc. One of the facts we were told was that the Bald Eagle every summer from May to August migrates up to Alaska. We were their at the tale end of the migration so there were not many but we were able to watch one as he sat atop a 50 foot spruce tree. What he was doing was watching the samon coming to shore to spawn. Just as we were taking our pictures he took off flying straight up and then swooping down onto the surface of the water, clutching what looked to be a 50 pound Samon. It was magnificent to watch.

So where is the relevance? Take for example the behavior an eagle displays, compared to that of an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur must have a vision. Able to recognize opportunity! He must be quick and decisive with his decisions. He never quits. He never complains. Failure is not an option. Success is his only pursuit! He takes action. He is a leader.

Now take the nature and actions of a chicken. Chickens can’t fly. They can only cluck and peck and chase each other around the barn yard. You heard the stories and comparisons of people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Not a pretty sight. But, true to life of a lot of people!

So, do you see the difference? The moral of this is simple. To be a successful entrepreneur act like an eagle. Have great vision. Be the best at what you do. Take action. Be a leader. Soar like an eagle!
